Battleship Ridge; Tue Dec 15, 2009; snowshoeing; leader: William Wright

A gang of 5 gathered at the Raven Lodge for a departure of 10:15 am. It was overcast with driving snow and ice fog hung over the meadows... we were presented with magical landscapes. Heading south towards Lake Helen Mackenzie, we intended following the summer route via Battleship Lake but because of the conditions, hopped over Battleship Ridge to the lake from the Helen Mackenzie campground. Upon returning to the lodge, we gathered for hot drinks and after a day in the elements, felt warmed to be out of them.
