A Sunday crew of 20 headed out (with a few new faces) under clearing skies but as the real mountain folk that we are, we were not fooled by this early sunshine... eventually the Rain-forest did have it's way with us and we were forced back from our destination by the liquid sunshine. We did manage to enjoy a pleasant stroll along the lower eastern flank of Forbidden Plateau, travelling north off the Forbidden Plateau Road onto an old logging road, through the Wattaway Valley and into the Brown's River Valley. Enroute we had the privilege of a wildlife encounter... momma bear and her cub crossed over the front of our crew (always a thrilling moment)! Paintbrush coloured the sides of our pathway and despite the showers, many appreciated the visit to new terrain and all, seemingly, had a great time amongst the banter of our group... Good day, Bill and thank you.
