A first snowshoe trip of the season for some participants. We have had about 2 metres of snow in the week prior to 22/11/09 and we were heading out to see how far we could go in the heavy snow conditions. 11 people turned out for the trip with a few additional hangers on who just took advantage of our trail breaking. Somewhere before the Piggott Creek bridge the group slit up and headed in different directions. My group headed to Helen Mackenzie Lake whilst the others followed the ridge to Battleship Lake.
