Battleship Lake; Thu Dec 31, 2009; snowshoeing; leader: William Wright

Nice day with a mix of sunshine and snow... Bit of a surprise with the sunshine, as to weather forecast. The 6 hr roundtrip 10 km snowshoe left Km 13 at 9:30 am, had lunch on the shores of Battleship Lake and finished with a hot chocolate in the Raven Lodge... Tim and Geoff didn't return to Km 13, with us, but rather continued onto the Raven Lodge, on snowshoes, while we retrieved the vehicle and joined them. We had 2 exciting creek crossings, Ramparts and Paradise, where those first across stood ready with camera's in the event someone might decide to test the water temperature! We were heading home by 4 pm, in Bob's Bus.
